B2M continued its October concert series with a second senior‑resident performance at The Terraces of Phoenix, featuring another wonderfully engaging lineup of eight performers.
The program’s standout moment was Ethan Chang’s expressive and richly colored performance of Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor, delivered with a warm tone and confident lyricism that brought out the work’s dramatic flair. Jinyao Zhou’s rendition of the first movement of Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor offered a beautifully poised contrast, shaped by her wonderful articulation, elegant phrasing, and a rhythmic pulse that captured Bach’s spirited writing with much clarity.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, and a special thanks to our secretary Emily Chen for creating bookmarks—featuring her lovely artworks— as a handmade craft that was distributed at the very end of the performances.
