Performance Series
As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said, “Music is the universal language of mankind.”
Our Performance Series is one of our most active projects here at Bridge to Music. Around once a month, we host a free, one-hour concert at senior living communities across the valley. When people enter retirement or assisted living, they often face new routines and challenges, and we believe bringing live music can offer comfort, connection, and joy during those times.
Each performance features between 6–13 student musicians from various schools and grades performing a variety of instruments and musical genres that highlight both solo and ensemble playing. Concerts are typically hosted on weekends, rotating across different locations each month.
In addition to the performances, our student volunteers prepare handmade crafts as gifts to each senior resident at our concerts! These gifts are a small token of appreciation and connection from our volunteers to our audiences at these communities. Click here to learn more about our Creative Projects!
The Performance Series is not only a gift to our senior community, but also a valuable experience for students. Performers have the chance to collaborate with other musicians, build confidence through public speaking, and participate in creative projects like making handmade souvenir gifts for our audiences.
