Creative Projects
While our mission is rooted in music, we embrace the arts in all their forms.
On December 23, 2023, we hosted our first major concert series, Merry Melodies Christmas Concerts. In the spirit of the giving season, our founding Officers came together to handcraft Santa yarn ornaments, which were shared with senior residents after our concerts to commemorate the memory and spread holiday cheer. Going into 2024, one of our volunteers created another handmade craft for our concert, continuing this tradition of giving and officially birthing Bridge to Music’s Creative Projects.
Our Creative Projects initiative provides meaningful opportunities for volunteers to support our mission through creativity, even if they are not performers. At every concert, our volunteers create and share art keepsakes with senior residents, extending the impact of each performance by spreading warmth, joy, and connection beyond the music.
Today, our Creative Projects focus on our Community Art Bookmark Initiative. Student volunteers create original artwork that is professionally printed onto bookmarks and distributed at our Performance Series concerts. Each bookmark serves as both a thoughtful keepsake for audience members and a way to share the story of Bridge to Music with the broader community.
By combining student creativity with our performances, these bookmarks help extend the impact of each concert long after the final note is played. Whether you're a musician or an artist, your creativity can help us build meaningful connections across generations.
If you enjoy drawing, painting, or any other avenue of creating original artwork, we invite you to join our Creative Projects team by completing the interest form below. Artwork is designed outside of concert dates, making it a flexible volunteer opportunity that is eligible for service hours.
