Daniel Kang
CO-FOUNDER, VICE CHAIR
Daniel is a first-year undergraduate student at Yale University where he is currently studying Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He co-founded Bridge to Music with his siblings in 2020 and currently serves as the Board Vice Chair.
Daniel began studying piano with Snezana Krstic when he was 9 years old and violin with Julian Nguyen. He is currently studying with Professor Melvin Chen at the Yale School of Music, and is a member of the Yale Undergraduate Piano Collective, which hosts masterclasses and recitals featuring the top piano professors from around the world.
Outside of music, Daniel is involved in providing service and assistance to communities in various ways. He is a member of the Yale Undergraduate Remote Area Medical, where he attends medical clinics every semester to volunteer and assist in providing medical treatment to underserved areas and communities. He is currently a senior counselor for L.E.A.P New Haven, where he leads projects to help students develop their own passions and goals for the future, and programs academic tutoring sessions for students. He is also a tutor with the Yale Education Tutoring Initiative, where he tutors students weekly in subjects like calculus and SAT preparation, and is an advising fellow with the Yale Chapter of Matriculate, which provides mentoring and assistance to high-school seniors in the college application process. He is also a member of the Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club.
